Dish-shaped grinding container swings in a tight high-speed circle to crush samples to analytical fineness. Extremely high resistance to abrasion, wears very slowly, and results in little contamination. Typical samples include: Cements, Soils, Ceramics, Slag, Rocks, Minerals, Ores, Pharmaceuticals, Sulfur Pellets, Dried Plant Material. Grinding container lined with Mg-stabilized zirconia ceramic offers high efficiency—about one and one-half times as dense as alumina yet grinds almost as fast as steel. Container consists of steel lid and aluminum dish lined with zirconia ceramic and solid zirconia ceramic puck.
